Cooking Time: Oven – 40mins/ Deep Fry 3-6mins
Yield: 2 Servings
INGREDIENTS
1. 2 – 3 Sweet Potatoes, peeled and cut into chips
Batter
2. 2 TBS Quinoa Flour, Sifted
3. Almond Milk
4. Cinnamon
5. Cumin
6. Nutmeg
7. Paprika
8. Salt
METHOD
– Place into a large mixing bowl
– In a separate bowl combine 1 – 8 until you form a thin batter consistency. Use ingredients to your discretion
– Combine 1 – 8 and mix until chips are evenly coated
– Place in a deep fryer for 3-6 minutes or until golden brown, or
– Oven Bake. Pre-heat at 220 C. Lay chips spaciously on non-stick trays (or lay baking paper) and bake for 20 minutes until crispy brown. Then turn chips and repeat for an additional 20 minutes. Cooking time varies on thickness of chips
OPTIONAL
– Replace quinoa flour and almond milk with olive oil (do this for your first time oven baking chips)
– Coat in any herb or spice you desire
– Serve with any meal especially with grilled fish, steak or even chicken
– Serve with one of our yummy versatile dips
– Great for serving to your guests as a starter while waiting for mains
